Nevada Day

Nevada Day is a state holiday celebrating Nevada's statehood. What this means is...a day off work! We took the opportunity to drive to Sardine Lake. This secret was shared by one of the locals. It's an amazing lake 1 1/2 hour north of Reno that's just as pretty but definitely less crowded than Lake Tahoe. We hiked up to the lake and Jackson had a blast throwing rocks. I'm starting to really like Nevada! :)
After this, Jackson went face down. We had to convince him to throw the little rocks and remind him that some were "too big".

I'm so glad this backpack is too big for me!! Guess Brent will have to carry Jackson on all our upcoming hikes.
Throwing rocks. Life couldn't be better.

More rocks. Beautiful lake, huh!
Mommy and Jackson. Fun times.
