Playgroup this week was at Great Basin Discovery Center. I had never been, and was excited to take the kids. We had a great time. There was so much to do there. They had a dinosaur playland, petting zoo, a discovery center (educational toys, puzzles, and games the kids could play with), pony rides, a log ride (we didn't go on that. I had Ashton and Jackson was too young to ride by himself), and I'm sure other adventures that we didn't even experience.

Jackson at the dinosaur playland. They had a dinosaur slide that was very cool.

Jackson and Ashton on the swings.

The petting zoo. There were lambs and goat kids.

When we paid for our admission to the park, they asked if we wanted to buy a pony ride. Jackson's eyes lit up. He assured me he wanted to ride the pony. Then, when we got to the pony ride, he got COLD feet. He started crying and would NOT ride. We gave the ticket to his friend, Kaylin. As soon as Jackson saw Kaylin on the pony, he wanted to ride. So...we hiked back up to the admissions area and bought another ticket. This time, he rode! I was so proud of him. He was still a little unsure (you can see it on his face in the pictures), but he had a great time. I was so glad Kaylin was there so Jackson could see there was nothing to be scared of.

Hi Ho Silver-away!

The kids had a blast in the discovery center. There were puzzles, lots of toys, clothes for dress-up. They really had a great time.
