What We've Been Up
Where does the time go?? Time for a blog update...
Mom and the kids braved a snowstorm and 10 hour drive to Idaho (without Dad).
So glad we did...WE HAD A BLAST WITH OUR COUSINS!!!
The whole family (and we mean EVERYONE) went bowling. You should have seen Ashton...she was LOVING it.
This is how much we LOVE bowling!
Madi, the pro....
Keeping the score....
Yup, LOVE IT!!
My kiddos...and their bowling shoes!
The kids braved the cold to ride snowmobiles with Papa and Uncle Darin.
THEY LOVED IT!
Even Ashton had a great time.
VRRRROOOOOOOMMMMM!
Ready to go inside....5 degrees is TOOOO COLD!
Jackson wanted more....
While we were in Idaho...Jackson turned 5!! He wanted a dinosaur/dragon cake. This was what we came up with. He loved it. I can't believe my baby is 5! Jackson loves dinosaurs and dragons (obviously), reading, pbskids.org, kindergarten, swimming and bowling.
Singing "Happy Birthday". Ashton was supervising.
The whole gang (minus baby Leigh).
Then, we spent a day with Grandma and Grandpa. Jackson got to open presents there. He was excited to get more dragons and dinosaurs to play with.
Ashton was excited, too. This means she'll get to play with new toys, too!
Jackson also got a computer game that asks dinosaur facts. This perfect for mom who is constantly answering questions like, "How big was Tyrannosaurus Rex?" and "What dinosaurs lived in the Cretaceous Period?" Thank goodness for google and the Ultimate Dinosaur Encyclopedia we check out every other month from the library.
Jackson and Grandma share a birthday, so we sang "Happy Birthday" and they shared an ice cream cake. YUM!!!!
...like I said, YUM!!!
We also were able to go to the Wolf Pack's home game versus Boise State. It was the kids' first bastketball game, and they LOVED it!!! The seats were amazing, and they did remarkably well.
Go Pack!
We also had a major snowstorm so Brent and Jackson made a snow castle in the backyard. They used the wagon as a door so as to make a tunnel door.
Another view of the snow castle.
The kids playing....
Lastly, there was a dinosaur and dragon exhibit at the Wilbur May Museum. It was incredible. There were 7-9 mechanical dinosaurs. The kids were actually scared of the T-Rex. It was the first dinosaur you saw, and they DID NOT want to get close.
