How is this happening? Brent and I are still 29, but our kids keep having birthdays.
I can't believe it, but our boy is 6!!!

Jackson woke us up bright and early on his birthday. He was so excited.

He opened a few presents in the morning (under Ashton's supervision).

Ashton was a sweetheart. It's got to be hard to see your sibling opening presents when you don't get one. She was really great about it. She kept saying "Happy Birthday, Jackson".

He was certainly excited.

He wanted a chocolate cake. We couldn't find great toppers, but did find some squishy dinosaurs to go on top. Our friend, Mckenna came over, and she said,"Dinosaurs, I should have known!". Too funny. Jackson loves chocolate cake.

We sang all the verses to Happy Birthday (Nana and Papa have about 5 verses to this song...by the time you get to the end, the candles have almost burned down to the cake).

Jackson loves:
Reading
Playing games on the Ipad
The park
Dinosaurs
Going to the grocery store and getting a cookie from the bakery
Jack and Annie books (The Magic Treehouse series)
Going to Idaho to visit Grandma/Grandpa and Nana/Papa
Building forts
Kindergarten
Wrestling Dad
Bounce houses
The library
Drawing
Chocolate ANYTHING

Dad and Ryan wished Jackson a "Happy Birthday", too.

Brent's parents always did a birthday treasure hunt, so we did one for Jackson this year. It took him a few clues to get it, but he was so excited once he understood the concept.

Ashton helped him out, too...

There were six clues and he went all around the house.
He was excited to find the new bicycle (without training wheels) and a remote control car.
Happy Birthday, Jackson! We love you....we say this every year, but NO MORE BIRTHDAYS!!
