It's Too Hot

Welcome, Summer! This week is supposed to be 100+ degrees. Unfortunately for us, our rental house doesn't have air conditioning (I know--it's not the dark ages. Air conditioning should be mandatory in all homes now). Brent found this mini swamp cooler at Home Depot. I was laughing hysterically today as I turned around from preparing dinner and saw Jackson move his lawn chair in front of the swamp cooler and lean into the cool air. Yes, it's hot!
Just chillin' mom.

Fourth of July

We had a fun Fourth of July. Liz, Jeff and family stayed with us July 3rd on their way to Utah. It was so great to see them. Becca and Jackson always have such a great time playing together. On July 4th, Brent and I helped out at our church's breakfast. It was a fun time. I put together some games for the kids (three-legged race, relay races, etc.). I think the primary children had fun. Jackson wanted to run with them, too. He didn't have a partner, but ran the three-legged race anyway. Check out his dinosaur pajama top...you can tell what kind of morning I had with him...not worth the battle!
Later that day, we hosted a BBQ and had a bunch of our friends over. Brooklyn was born 9 days after Ashton. Cute kids, and best friends already! It was a fun day.

Splash!

For a playgroup last week, we went to a water park. It was perfect for the toddlers because it just shot water up and out of different fountains. I'm not sure what happened to my Florida boy, but he's not in love with the water like he used to be. I had to coax him to play in the fountains.

Tuckered out!

Sleeping Beauty

Ah, tummy time. Ashton does sleep on her back, but I snuggled her, and then turned her on her tummy for these pictures. She's gaining some more weight, and sleeping pretty well at night. Now, if we could just get Jackson to be a little softer with his "loves"....
