More Halloween Fun

Jackson is LOVING his costume this year! We had our Halloween Playgroup Party today and the kids had a blast.

We snuck into the 3rd ward's "Harvest Festival"again. They have a "parade" every year (this kids walk around the gym and get candy). Jackson LOVED it. He is ALL about the candy.

Carving Pumpkins

Happy Halloween! We finally carved our pumpkins. The kids (and Brent!) had a blast.
Ashton thought the pumpkins were so cool. She was laughing and putting her hands into the bowl holding the pumpkin insides. She was SOOO excited!
Jackson DID NOT want to touch the pumpkin insides. He kept saying, "EWWWW! Smelly Pumpkin Stuff", which only made Ashton laugh harder.

He did LOVE taking the pumpkin top on and off.

Our hero. I have to say, I was not super excited to carve pumpkins. It's messy! Brent is a great sport and when you see the grins...carving the pumpkins was totally worth it.

Pumpkin Time

Playgroup today was Ferrari Farms Pumpkin Patch. We love this place! They have animals, a bounce house, a hayride, a corn maze, LOTS of pumpkins, cows, sheep, pigs, and goats. The kids had a blast. I have to say, even though there were 5 schools there for field trips, the staff managed the kids well, and it didn't seem THAT crowded. One of our favorite things is the old tractor. As soon as Ashton saw it, she kept saying, "Tra-tor, Tra-tor". We love tractors at our house, courtesy of Papa!

Sierra Safari Zoo

We got a tip from a friend about Sierra Safari Zoo so we met up with our playgroup friends and did some investigating. Now, mind you, it's not the Omaha Zoo, but they had some cool exhibits. We saw a sloth, a huge lizard, several peacocks, a camel, a black panther, 3 lions, baboons, a white tiger, minature donkeys and zebras, bobcats, mountain goats, and LOTS of deer. The deer were in an open area and the kids could feed them. Ashton and Jackson were able to touch a few. We were glad we braved the cold!

Sneak Peak

The look is not yet complete...I actually DID find white toddler shoes and orange socks! Now...if I can just get some pom-poms and convince Ashton to keep a bow in her hair we'll be set for Halloween. GO GATORS!
