OUCH!

To all of you who told me that a tonsillectomy would be "2 days of heck" and then get better-YOU LIED. This week has been hellacious. Jackson's lost about 5 or more pounds and won't drink anything but water (and I have to coax, beg, plead and threaten to get him to take that). He's not anywhere close to where I thought he would be in terms of recovery. We even had an IV at home the first 2 days, and he is still miserable. My only consolation is that next year (hopefully) he won't have strep throat all winter and his sleeping will improve. I'll just be glad when the scabs fall off and I can quit waking him up every 2 hours to drink. We're exhausted.
The first day home...with the IV.
We had to wrap his hand to protect the IV. Poor kid.

Belated Easter Egg Hunt

We kept postponing have our little Easter get together hoping the weather would improve. It didn't. It was so cold, we didn't really "hide" the eggs; just spread them out over the lawn. Spring, where are you?? We still had fun. The kids all got LOTS of eggs (Brent and I stuffed 500 while watching "Blind Side" the night before.)
Ashton's finding lots of eggs!
Searching for eggs.
Scoop 'em up!
More eggs!
The kids had all the eggs gathered in about 10 minutes. I think they were cold, too!
Happy (belated) Easter!

Easter

Easter was fun but COLD! We are ready for sunshine.
